new season, new site, new blessings!

a thank you note to our beloved community, and what’s next for narrative

We can’t believe the first half of 2024 is almost at a close. Where does the time go!?

We’re doing some reflecting before a long (and much-needed) Memorial Day weekend. Before we get ready to enjoy some arroz con gandules y pollo with family, friends, and una fría cervecita in hand, we want to say: thank you.

Truly, there’s so much to be grateful for. The list is endless.

Within the last five to six months, narrative has grown in more ways than one. Conversing, interacting, and brainstorming with our growing community has been a wondrous pleasure that we’ll never take for granted. During the first stages of building narrative, while devising the kind of content we want to share with the world, the sort of stories we’re passionate about telling, and the messages we want to relay, we came up with a show titled Ordinary Thoughts, a play on the frequent conversations we have amongst ourselves and our closest kin on a regular basis.

During the years before launching the show, we playfully joked about placing a microphone in front of our faces whenever we took our frequent deep dives into conversations about politics, art, music, relationships, mental health, spirituality and so much more. After we named the pod and recorded our first-ever episode only a week later (with the incredible Dhayana Alejandra as our first feature – shoutout to D!), we thought we had a clear picture of what would be in store for us. Boy, we really had no idea.

Seven heartfelt and organic conversations later, we’re proud to say we have more episodes being published for you all in the coming weeks before we officially wrap up season 1. With over a dozen more conversations already in the queue, we cannot wait to bring you Season 2!

In addition to a brand new season on the way, we’re currently producing a “Founders Series” within the realm of Ordinary Thoughts, where we will record shorter segments to share some of the thoughts and conversations that started this all. This new project aspires to give you more of us: the way we think, how we got here, what we’ve taken from each of our distinct journeys, and where we’re headed from here on. We can’t express the excitement that’s been building inside our hearts and minds as we continue to grow the show.

With so much in store, we sincerely want to thank everyone who has supported the show and narrative as a community overall. Our gratitude pours over tenfold. Thank you all so much for tuning into our episodes, keeping tabs on our newsletter, liking, sharing, and commenting on our Instagram posts (we see you!), and for your kind words of encouragement.

As young entrepreneurs on a beautifully difficult journey, we doubt that many know the impact kind words and upliftment from your community can have on you. Especially people who look like you. Especially people who share your ideals, customs, and traditions. People who align with your soul. It truly means the world.

Stay tuned now, this is just the beginning!

We’ve been cooking up a lot in the background, including new client services and plans to expand our editorial reach beyond our blog. If you’re new to the community, or looking to get involved in some way, we’d love to hear from you. Reach out to us at hello@narrativemedia.co. Don’t be shy!

Con mucho amor, your narrative media co., founders,

Cybele & Isaiah
